Job description
Meditemp are seeking experienced and dedicated Support Workers for our client based in Maidstone, Kent. The successful Support Workers will be able to demonstrate previous experience and knowledge working with adult's mental health in a clinical setting. You will either be working in a Mixed Acute Mental Health Inpatient Ward or 16 bed inpatient unit catering for men between the ages of 18-65 who require care in a medium secure unit.

Support Worker essential skills:
- Provide support to senior and nursing staff
- Promote positivity
- Observe, assess and respond appropriately to patient needs
- Prepare and maintain patient records
- Build and maintain professional and therapeutic relationships with patients and their families
- Keep calm under pressure and when dealing with challenging or confrontational behaviour
- Good organisation and problem-solving skills
- Manage and communicate sensitive information effectively and in accordance with legislation
- Effective communication and team work skills
Meditemp requires you to have:
- A minimum of 6 months recent experience in a clinical setting
- NVQ Level 2
- Eligibility to work within the UK
