Coquet Trust have full and part time vacancies for Support Workers to provide person centred support to adults with learning disabilities. We are looking for individuals who share our values being committed, reliable, inspirational, trustworthy and inclusive.
This role
We have part time (24 hour plus) and full time positions in the Fawdon area, where we support three people. We are looking for people to join the permanent team here, to build professional relationships with the people we support in order to deliver the highest quality care. Due to the needs of the people we support, the postholders must be female, be able to drive, and be able to work weekend/overnight shifts.
The people you will be supporting are wheelchair users, and we are looking for people with previous experience of support work. If you have previous experience of personal care, peg feeding, swallowing difficulties, hoisting, epilepsy and communication needs you may be in an ideal position to make a difference in the lives of people we support.
This role would suit someone that enjoys providing a caring and inspiring environment for the people we support by ensuring they have regular activities and social outings.
Hours
The full-time role is 37 hours per week (plus sleep ins which are paid additionally).
The part-time role is 24 hours per week (plus sleep ins).
You would be scheduled to work 3 out of 7 days, including over night and weekends.
Shifts include: 7am to 10pm; 7am to 9pm; 4pm to 9pm; Where required, sleepover shifts of 8 hrs would also be added.
