We have an exciting opportunity for support workers to join our supported living services for individuals with learning disabilities, complex needs, and challenging behaviour.
We are looking for kind, genuine, passionate and caring people who are driven to provide high quality person-centred care in a supported living environment. As a Support Worker you will provide high standards of care and support for service users, in line with care and support plans, compliance with CQC regulations and the organisation’s policies and procedures.
It very important that we support individuals to retain as much of their independence as possible, care is about providing much more than physical needs, it is about the social and emotional support you will be providing by building up a strong and healthy bond with the service users and showing them and others involved in their care that you truly care about them and their lives.
The role involves working with a young person who loves football and other physical sports. Duties include: structured routines, support with schooling, building independent living skills, supporting daily external activities, budgeting, emotional support, personal care prompts, supervision and daily paperwork and electronic documentation. Whilst also ensuring a healthy, safe and clean environment for service users in their home and encouraging their involvement in achieving this.
