Day Opportunities South
We are looking for part-time Support Workers to provide care and support to those who access our day opportunities, promoting choice, inclusion and independence at all times.
This is a permanent role working 30 hours per week over 5 days, Monday to Friday.
You will be required to have up to a QCF Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care. If you do not already have this qualification, we will fund this for you as well as your training as long as you are willing to work towards obtaining this on appointment.
Working across all day opportunities located at the Park View building, this includes Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities and Older People and Dementia services. You will organise activities and deliver day opportunities which enables service users to make full use of their local community. Developing independence and promoting individual choice and social inclusion.
You will be part of an enthusiastic and motivated staff team, providing emotional, social and personal support to individuals and groups.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience of working with people with a learning disability, physical disability, dementia, or older people
- Demonstrable good practice which promotes choice, independence, and self-advocacy
- The ability to adapt and respond to the constantly changing needs of a group of diverse people whilst demonstrating patience and understanding
- The ability to demonstrate sensitivity whilst supporting individuals with their personal care needs
In return, you will work as part of a small and friendly team, whilst making a difference to the lives of people living in Solihull. You will be supported by a committed team of co-workers, Day Service Co-ordinators and Managers.
