About you
We are looking for caring, compassionate and hands on people to join our team. Ideally with Six Months Care experience, whether it be caring for a family member or professionally, however this isn’t essential, but the compassion and integrity to treat people with dignity and respect is. Care Certificate training is also beneficial however not critical.
This position is subject to an enhanced DBS Check, the cost to be met by United Response.
Your Role
The job is all about giving people encouragement, guidance and support so they can live as independently as possible and have the freedom to make their own choices. The provision of personal care is an element to this position, however this role is all about supporting people to get out in to the community, which will include building a one on one relationship with the person you support and finding out what they love to do and making it happen for them. This could include attending Football/Rugby matches, Cooking, Going for Walks, Shopping, Going for meals etc.
