JOB SUMMARY

Our service is currently expanding and we are now looking for full time staff for our newest house. We are a highly regarded supported living service providing support in the community for people with mental health difficulties within our shared accommodations. we strive to provide a homely environment where people can feel relaxed and supported to regain the confidence to live in the community again. candidates will, under minimal supervision of the manager be expected to use structured support skills to co-ordinate, develop and facilitate a flexible, client centred programme to individuals within the home and community environment. the post is full time with a fixed four week rolling rota which includes early shifts, late shifts and sleep ins ( paid at £50 per sleep in)

Principle responsibilities

  • Build up a supportive relationship with tenants to encourage their interest and participation in identified areas.
  • Assist in the maintenance, safety and cleanliness of all relevant communal and individually occupied rooms of the property.
  • Undertake specific performance assessments to determine appropriate programmes of activity with minimal supervision from the manager.
  • Delivery of support to people to improve their life skills; to promote their independence; and to enable them to reach their maximum potential.
  • Devise and timetable a selection of individual and group activities.
  • Take day-to-day responsibility for the delivery of identified support activities with minimal supervision.
  • Contribute to developing and reviewing aspects of the individual support plans
  • To maintain confidentiality of all tenant, staff and company information.
  • Assess and manage risk effectively.
  • Use relevant ordering system for house stock items.
  • Work in accordance with current legislation.
  • Maintain an up-to-date awareness of current Mental Health Act legislation relevant to the role.
