Homes2inspire Ltd, are part of Shaw Trust Group, a charity which helps to transform the lives of young people and adults across the UK.
Trevone House is Gloucestershire County Council’s flagship, semi-independent accommodation for young people aged 16 to 25. We provide care leavers, the very best pathway to a brighter future, in addition to giving specialist support to those needing help at a time of crisis.
In addition to 19 flats for young people leaving care, Trevone House has a well-being suite offering young people a place of safety and calm, and two specialist flats for young people who need additional support with their mental health needs. As a Transition/ Service Support Officer, you will assist the delivery of the bespoke services to support young people residing in and external to Trevone House.
Previous experience within this field would be advantageous, however this is not essential. We welcome applicants that we feel have the right characteristics, aptitude, and life skills to work with our young people.
A full UK Driving Licence is preferred to support young people with activities.
What are we looking for in you?
Passionate and enthusiastic approach to the delivery of Children’s Services and helping young people
Safeguarding awareness, particularly in relation to young people
COVID vaccination requirements are mandatory for this setting
The Journey
You will be supported by Homes2Inspire to get the training and qualifications needed for you to carry out your role, including a tailored 2-week initial training course before commencing work within Trevone House.
The fully funded initial training course will include subjects such as Safeguarding, Health and Safety, First Aid, Adverse Childhood Experiences and Trauma training.
During your career with Homes2Inspire you will receive further support with your continuous professional development in the form of:
Regular supervisions, appraisals and mentoring within the home
