Job Overview
The support worker will assist the client with care and daily needs. The specific duties will be outlined in the Client's care plan and daily activities on our electronic visit system. The client recently suffered a brain injury after a road traffic accident. He is fully mobile and self-caring with personal care but due to his brain injury he needs help from a support worker to encourage him to have the confidence to do things he enjoys as he can become anxious. The client needs his support worker to understand his needs and to help him to be as independent as he can be. The role is primarily to support him with growing his confidence following his injury, trying new things and becoming less reliant on his wife for day to day things. He struggles with anxiety and confidence. Full training and support to deliver the care required will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Observe and record client's health status.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living.
- Monitor and ensure the safety of the client.
- Maintain client confidentiality.
