Support Worker
We’re looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Support Worker to join our Homelessness service in Brent.
£23,019.36 per annum with average potential earnings of over £25,300 per annum, working 40 hours per week. Benefits include 25 days Annual Leave, pension schemes, staff discounts, healthcare and career progression.
Shifts Patterns: 8:00 - 16:00 and 13:30 - 21:30
Any 5/7 days, including weekends and bank holidays
*Potential average earnings are a culmination of base salary of £23,019.36/£20,592 and colleagues working average of 17 additional hours overtime in own or other services per month*

Livingstone House is a 24 hour staffed 92 bed mix gender hostel, which provides short term supported housing for single homeless vulnerable people with Medium to high support needs. Look ahead provides the support function and Riverside provides the housing management and night concierge. The Service provides on average 5 hours of weekly support to customers who reside in the hostel with the aim to provide them with the tools to move on within the community and live independently.
This role requires a valid Right to Work for the UK as Look Ahead are not a sponsoring organisation.
What you’ll do:
-Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of customers.
- Promoting a positive and supportive culture which is inclusive for all.
- Working alongside the team and our partners to provide effective key working, mentoring and resilience building activities.
- Building positive, supportive, trusting and appropriate relationships with customers which enable change and emotional growth.
- Highlighting individual strengths; supporting young people to identify and set personalised goals and achieve positive outcomes (in the form of a support plan).
- Helping customers to build resilience, develop their social and emotional skills and reduce harm to themselves and/or others.
- Involving customers in the design, development, and delivery of the service.
