The Role
Future Directions CIC have an amazing opportunity in Urmston. The role is based at a small registered care home in Urmston, Trafford. We provide 24 hour support to 4 people who have profound learning disabilities. The people we support are wheelchair users and have additional health needs.
They require full support with their personal care and mobility. They also need support to access activities in the community; for example – days out (e.g. trips to the seaside), art and music sessions, cinema, lunch out to the pub, etc.
We have full and part time hours available and welcome applications from people with or without experience as full training will be given.
This active role will also require successful candidates to help and support with personal care duties, household chores and meal preparation. A good sense of humour is essential for this role as the people we support will keep you on your toes and always try to amuse you. The successful candidate must be willing to use public transport, have clear communication and have the ability to adapting changing health needs.
The ideal candidate will be fully flexible so we can continue to support our people around the clock. Providing the best possible support for our people is a priority for us at Future Directions CIC, and we need to maintain that their needs are met.
Shifts will include; Early Mornings, Late Evenings, Sleep in Shifts and Waking Nights shifts (Sleep in and Waking Night Enhancements).
Please note – All successful applicants must be fully flexible to do all required shifts.
An Enhanced DBS will also be a requirement and all successful candidates will have had all Covid-19 Vaccinations, unless exempt.

All successful candidates will be required to complete a full induction, which will take place in Chadderton, Oldham (OL9). This is a Nine day induction (Over 3 weeks) and we require all successful applicants to attend all days. Social Distancing will be adhered to and hand sanitiser and face masks will be provided.
