What you will be doing You will join an inclusive, supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with learning disabilities and mental health conditions. Whether you have experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Care Worker, you will use your knowledge and skills to help support people lead a valued and fulfilled life. It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve; being able to do something today that they couldn’t do last week because of you. You will work on shifts, 7am - 2.30pm, 2pm - 9.30pm, including weekends on a rota basis. Permanent, 35 hours full-time contract. Extra hours are optional. Where you will be working Location: 1 Prideaux Rd, Eastbourne BN21 2NW You will be working at Ranworth House, a service which provides support for people who may be living with moderate learning disabilities with associated health needs, autism and behaviours. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will offer support to people as part of their care pathway. Whether it is moving from their community placement or a family home because they require more structured care and support. All what we expect from you is Experience with Epilepsy, Learning Disability and Autism is a must Must be local or based at a commutable distance and time The ability to show strong empathy, a caring and compassionate nature Willing to support the resident with the personal hygiene People skills, communication skills and a good sense of humour Willingness to deal with the challenging behaviour A positive & professional approach Reliability, flexibility, hard work and honesty Team working ethos aligned to our company values You must live in the UK and have the Right to Work in the UK full time. 20-hour Student and Skilled Worker Visa's cannot be accepted.
