Job description
We are looking for a caring and fun Support Worker to join an established team who want to make a difference to a 16 year old male with Cerebral Palsy and learning difficulties living in the Wickham Bishops area.
If you are passionate about supporting children with learning difficulties, we would like to talk to you. Previous experience is desirable but not essential, we want the right person to work with our client.
The role will involve:
· Implementing all aspects of the care plan
· Supporting with play and learning activities
· Being proactive, making the daily tasks fun and promoting independence for the child
· Working in the family home with sensitivity to support the parents/family
· Taking the child to activities in the local community
Qualifications / ideal experience desirable:
· QCF/NVQ 2/3 or equivalent
· Previously worked with children with learning difficulties in the home setting
· Excellent communication / listening skills
.PEG Feeding experience preferable
· Ability to understand play and learning to develop skills
· Full clean driving licence
· You will need to be fully conversant with safeguarding children and you will need to be familiar with the legal requirements of the Children’s Act and Legislation pertaining to carers

Salary/Hourly rate:
£13.00 - £14.00 per hour
