The role – Support Worker

We support people with a variety of complex disabilities to live independently in our unique care home setting, where our adult customers live in their own spaces, either alone or with flatmates, it really feels like their own homes.

You will be assisting our customers with their 24 hour care needs on either 1-1 or 2-1 support; your day will include helping them with their personal care, dressing, medication, communication, mobility, mealtimes and participating in their chosen activities for that day. Activities range from supporting our customers on social outings with family to shopping or cinema trips. All community activities are based on our customers interests.

What you need to know

We have full time and relief vacancies in our unique Care Home Services based in Carluke (ML8 4EZ) & Lanark (ML11 7PX)

We operate in 12 hour shifts (days or nights). Full time 36 hours x 3 days per week (alternate weekends) which offers an excellent work life balance. We can consider part time applications of 1 or 2 days per week.

Don’t drive? – don’t let that put you off, whilst we welcome applications from drivers, our roles are based at our care home or wider community (which has great transport links). If you do need to go out & about with our customer for that dinner and cinema trip, costs are covered at no expense to you!

If successful, you will register with the SSSC and will be supported by us to complete your SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care.
