Specialising in supporting adults who have learning disabilities and/or autism, those who can at times displays behaviours that others may find challenging, and other complex needs.

Role & Responsibilities

We are currently looking for positive, compassionate, and caring Support Workers to join our supported living service in Peacehaven. This service supports four older adults who have a more severe learning disability and some health needs.

Duties may include:

  • Assist the service users with their individual support plans and help them to achieve their goals.
  • Participate in providing day care activities for the service users.
  • Undertake tasks of a domestic nature, e.g. shopping, cooking, laundry, house cleaning.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with service users relatives, outside agencies and other professionals.
  • Assist service users in their personal care when appropriate.
  • To develop a full knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures pertaining to the service users. Including reports, support plans and daily recordings.
  • To undertake the role of keyworker for specific service users as directed by the home’s manager.

Requirements:

  • Staff work on a shift basis across the week and have a monthly rota, some weekend working is required.
  • Please note that all of our positions require an Enhanced DBS check in relation to adults.
  • Full UK driving licence is preferable
