The role of a Support Worker is a varied one, with no two days being the same. You would be working closely with the young people building positive and professional relationships, whilst being proactive in encouraging independence with safeguarding being your priority.
As a Support Worker, you will deliver person-centred support that is focused on all aspects of the individual’s health, wellbeing, independence, and development. You should be able to communicate well with others, work as part of a team, commit to developing your skills, and use your own initiative, bringing innovative ideas and opportunities, whilst contributing to the ongoing development of the service and our local communities.
Experience of a similar role would be beneficial; however, it is not essential because we pride ourselves on facilitating a bespoke learning and development programme that encourages career progression within our organisation and social care profession.
We adopt a strong safeguarding culture of openness and honesty to best protect both the individual’s we support and our employees. As part of our commitment to safer recruitment all offers of employment will be subject to satisfactory references and obtaining a valid enhanced DBS.
Please note that it’s a criminal offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with that particular group (i.e. adults at risk, children or both).
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to join a progressive company at a time of exciting change and expansion.
