You’ll join our friendly team in Warrington providing support to 2 amazing men who each have a learning disability. In addition to your annual salary, you’ll have the opportunity to work sleep-ins* at £60 per night. You’ll also have the pleasure of receiving the Blue Light discount card and making savings at the checkout, along with other benefits detailed below.
Your ability to drive unlocks the opportunities for people to do the things they really enjoy. So you must be a driver with a manual license. Don't worry! You won't be racing between appointments.

Let us introduce you to, the wonderful Stephen who has his own Motability car and enjoys drives out to Blackpool sight-seeing. He is keen on short walks, particularly if it involves finding somewhere nice to eat out. He has Diabetes, so he is supported to take a blood reading twice a day. He has limited verbal communication skills but compliments these with Makaton and objects of reference.
Moving onto the dashing John who also has his own Motability car and loves being outdoors exploring. He has a national trust annual pass and a safari park membership. He is also a member of David Lloyd gym as he loves swimming especially the Jacuzzi. John lives a very active fast paced life and staff need to share this with him. He has epilepsy and specific eating guidelines so you will need to support with these. John has limited verbal communication skills and uses some Makaton, PECS and objects of reference.
You will be working 37.5 hours a week on a rota, including days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins.
*If you’re not familiar with it, for a sleep-in shift, you sleep at the person’s home overnight in the spare room, ready to wake up and provide support if someone is restless. In the Warrington area, we pay £60 per sleep-in.

Training and Development
At Macintyre we fully support your training and development. We know it can be daunting to start a new job, and not everyone learns the same way, so throughout your probation we will provide you with a mixture of eLearning, face-to-face training and mentoring support whilst on the job.
