Home Instead are one of the UK's leading providers of care assistants and support workers for the elderly with over 249+ offices nationwide. We have a highly successful team of care professionals who visit our clients in their own homes, offering support and assistance where needed.
We are now looking for people who reside in Hatfield & Welwyn Garden City locations or thereabouts, (also Potters Bar & Borehamwood), to join our wonderful team of Healthcare Support Workers & Care Assistants.
We are recruiting new people who are seeking a career in Adult Care, to work in the community and who feel they have the right qualities to become one of our very special and supportive team members.
We do require that you have a car - this is essential to enable you to travel between clients each day. We also require you to be able to work your standard hours on a Saturday and Sunday on alternate weekends.
We cannot offer sponsorship to overseas candidates at this time. The role requires you to be resident in the UK and with the right to work.

Our care assistants & support workers assist our clients by helping them with a combination of the following:
- Personal Care, comprising of washing and dressing and assisting with continence care.
- Light housework, dusting, hoovering, shopping, meal preparation and cooking.
- Companionship, taking clients shopping, to appointments or social activities and events.
Every client has different needs and have unique requirements, so we expect our care & support assistants to have the ability to adapt to each and every person and to treat them with care, consideration and respect - never a dull moment.
We are currently seeking new care professionals with or without experience (we will fully train suitable candidates) and who can commit to Home Instead, Welwyn & Hatfield office to work a 30 hour working week. You will be required to work a shift pattern that suits your clients needs and we will try to ensure that the hours you work suit your personal requirements, and will try to adapt the working pattern that suits the clients and the care professional assigned.
We offer:
- For 30 hours worked each week £17,160 per annum.
- if suitable, 30 hour contracts offered.
- £0.30pence per mile travel allowance.
- Double time if working Bank Holiday.

- Minimum 1 hour visits - no running between clients.

We are interested in your potential rather than what you have previously undertaken so we fully train all new members of staff. Training comprises of in-house workshops and e-learning and we also encourage continuous professional development.
You must have your own car because we work in the community and travel between clients daily.
You must also be prepared to work your agreed hours on alternative weekends, covering a Saturday & Sunday.
