An exciting full time opportunity has arisen in our I.T department for a Desktop Support Technician, working with a small and friendly team.
The role will be supporting all users of the college’s IT systems, through ensuring that the college’s equipment is well maintained, up-to-date, ready for teaching and business operation.
This role will allow you to be customer focused forward thinking, bringing all of your skills, knowledge and experience into a fast paced and ever changing environment.
- Deliver an effective and customer focused help desk, acting as one of the first points of contact for the IT/Digital support line.
- Supporting end users remotely as well as physically in the college’s main campus and other associated sites.
- Respond to support calls from end users by phone, teams or in person.
- Report/diagnose/record and resolve all college hardware and software faults.
Qualifications and training
- Level 3 IT Qualification
Skills and expertise
- Experience & Knowledge of using and supporting the Office and Office 365 suite – including Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint and Exchange Online.
- Significant level of knowledge and experience in the use and support of Windows technologies.
- Knowledge and experience of supporting hardware and software, including telephony equipment, in a technical support role.
