With its 24/7 support, employing some of the strongest, technically sound, and experienced individuals in the industry, it maintains the internal IT infrastructure of various companies within RSG International which services include Networking, Remote Access, Cyber Security, Software Development, Cloud Computing, and much more.
The IT Support Technician, supports the IT systems of various organizations across Ontario. Reporting into our head office, they will be forward deployed to our clients’ offices and support various IT environments by solving business user issues and working to solve complex business challenges.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, configure, and deploy Microsoft Windows workstations
- Install, configure, and maintain software applications on user workstations
- Answer user emails and phone requests for technical assistance
- Troubleshoot and resolve user technical issues (remote and onsite)
- Install, configure, and maintain mobile devices – iPhone and Android
- Maintain inventory and relevant documentation
- Complete maintenance checklists to upkeep and maintain Windows servers
- Monitor critical applications, such as Mail services, Backups and AntiVirus
- Maintain VPN (Virtual Private Network) and remote access services
- Experience with troubleshooting printer, scanners, and various other peripherals
- Escalate major issues and project requests to the appropriate specialists
- Assist with deployments and migrations of hardware and software
- Work with vendors to acquire quotes and procure hardware/software for clients
- Keep a complete daily time log
- Administration of Office 365:
- User administration, identity, access management and Office 365 License administration.
- Office 365 policy compliance and configuration.
- PowerShell scripting for Office 365 and Active Directory
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary degree in IT or related discipline.
- Microsoft Office 365 certifications e.g. MCSA: Office 365.
- 2+ years of experience in Administering Office 365
- Computer software proficiency with MS Office Applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with superior attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent Time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with Help Desk ticketing systems
- Experience working for an MSP is an asset.
Specific Technical Skills Required
- Windows 10 + Desktop
- Microsoft Office Suites
- Workstation hardware fundamentals
- Some experience with Mac computers and other Apple related products
- Experience in installing and configuring printers, and other computer peripherals
- Understanding of Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012 + and Active Directory
- Understanding of AntiVirus, AntiSPAM and AntiMalware Applications
- Understanding of Cloud-based email services
- Understanding of Cloud-based storage solutions
- Understanding of Backup Systems
- Understanding of Firewalls and VPNs (Virtual Private Network)
