Senior IT Support Technician, Carlisle, Cumbria
£25,000 - £35,000
MacArthur Recruitment is working on behalf of a successful IT, Telecoms and Services company who, due to internal promotions, are looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer / Technician to join their Support team. Your ideal background will be from a multiple-external customer environment.
Within this position you will be working within a team, supporting clients both remotely and face to face, playing an integral part in the organisation by providing technical support for hardware and software.
A lot of their business has grown naturally through recommendation and as a result of expansion within a satisfied customer. Ideally they are looking for someone with good broad and deep knowledge who enjoys working with and helping customers; along with having a passion for technology. Most of your role is carried out from the offices in Carlisle, however some customer site visits are required – a pool van is provided for these.
Career development and further technology training are also on offer. The skills listed below are the ideal case however there is some flexibility and some further training can be provided.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior IT Support Technician :
- Proactive monitoring of IT Systems
- Installation & Configuration of hardware, software, and IT Infrastructure
- Diagnosing system errors and other issues
- Help desk and incident management
- Ensure IT support processes are followed and documented
- Troubleshoot, appropriate problem solving, and ensure IT issues are being dealt with effectively and to the customer's satisfaction
- Providing onsite and remote support
- Drivers license.
