Job description
Chem-Pak, Inc. acts as the manufacturing arm of national brands, producing industrial and consumer products that are sold in Home Depot, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Wal-Mart.
Our team of chemist’s and project managers help develop new products and bring them to market, while our supply chain and production group manufactures and delivers product to store shelves.
We are located in Martinsburg, WV an easy commute from Winchester, Hagerstown and surrounding areas.
SUMMARY:
· Assists end-users with hardware and software issues, maintains all network endpoints
WORK SCHEDULE:
·40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, onsite. Occasional weekend and/or evening work as necessary to complete tasks. Flexible Work Schedule available after 60 days and with IT Manager’s approval.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
· First responder to IT Related issues of end-users
· Assist and work with IT TEAM, other departments and Vendors to identify and resolve issues reported by our end-users
· Maintains IT asset inventory items
· Establish and implement a hardware maintenance program including upgrading hardware, software, and operating systems
· Maintain base-line installation procedures for the various types of endpoints
· Maintain an inventory of applications, versions, and licenses/keys
· Assist with Patch Management of Desktop Ssytem
· Maintain and update Active Directory
· Assist with Onboarding of new users
· Prepares and maintains documentation and work instructions for IT support and installation tasks
· Maintains all end-user computer and office equipment, including workstations, printers, copiers, scanners, etc.
· Preps and installs computer workstations, printers and other endpoint required by end-users
· Maintains UPS backups on all endpoints
· Manages inventory of supplies
· Monitors and performs maintenance on all handheld scanners
· Perform other tasks as assigned by the IT Manager and assists the Network and System Administrator, as needed
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS:
· 2- or 4-year degree in an IT-related field or 2+ years of technical experience
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Expertise in the support of Microsoft Office and its related applications including M365
· Good writing skills with the ability to write clear and understandable work instructions
· Strong understanding of active directory and group policy
· Ability to diagnose software and hardware problems
· Ability to provide end-user support by email, phone, remote assistance, and face-to-face with a professional and courteous demeanor
· Must be able to collaborate and work within a team environment
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to follow instructions and work independently on assigned projects and tasks
