IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN | Circa £33,900 per annum
In this role, you will be the ‘Face of IT’, responsible for delivering first class IT support to both our guests and colleagues.
You will ensure that all IT related issues and policies are addressed in a professional manner and through the appropriate channels. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, having previous experience of operating in a 2nd line support role, balanced with exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and an ability to communicate at all levels throughout the business.
Other responsibilities will include providing high-level support for our guest and business Wi-Fi infrastructure; building desktops and laptops, working alongside the Head Office team, configuration and ongoing support for mobile devices, back-up management and picking up and resolving success and failure notifications.
The successful candidate will be required to participate in the IT Service Delivery support rota, providing out of hours cover and support to both Head Office and the other villages.
ABOUT YOU
Essential requirements:
- Proven and strong record in 2nd line IT Support environment
- Excellent communicator with a Customer Focused approach
- Thorough understanding of ICT, including; PC’s, Laptops, tablet devices, IP Telephony, PC Applications, EPOS Handhelds, Infrastructure Wi-Fi
- Ability to extensively troubleshoot and document knowledge and processes
- A full Driving Licence
Desirable requirements:
- Articulate and methodical approach to IT Support
- Industry recognised Service Desk, Network, CompTIA or Microsoft qualifications
- Experience of Desktop management and Desktop deployment tools
- Experience of a tiered IT support service
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. Shifts will typically fall between 8:00am and 6:30pm.
As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.
You will be required to be on-call out of hours.
