Job Title: Configuration Support Technician
Location: Rugby, Central Park (CV23 0WB)
Hourly Rate: £12.75 per hour (First 12 weeks)
Hourly Rate: £13.25 per hour (After 12 weeks)
Overtime Rate: £19.88 per hour (After 12 weeks)
Shift: 21:45-06:15 (40 hours per week)
Working Pattern: Sunday to Thursday (Fri & Sat OFF)
What you’ll do:
- Configure customers systems to their required specifications
- Test systems to ensure 100% quality
- Maintain minimum monthly productivity goals
- Troubleshoot problems with computer systems, including hardware, software and peripheral equipment
- Ensure that customers receive the highest level of customer service
- Communicate issues concerning customer orders to the Help Desk or Team Leader
- Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines at all times
- Perform any additional duties assigned by management
- It may be necessary on occasion for this individual to work beyond their regularly scheduled shift
- Overtime is to be expected and in some cases may be required
- At times complete tasks normally associated with higher levels of technician to aid co-worker development
- To demonstrate the values as laid out in the CDW way and to keep updated with the CDW way
- Demonstrate ability to lift and carry up to 15kg of force frequently (34-67% of the workday) and up to 25kg of force occasionally (0-33% of the workday). A buddy lift system must be utilized for loads weighing more than 25kg
- Demonstrate ability to perform eight or more hours of standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping and carrying products in combination at any given time
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment which includes changes in temperature as weather fluctuates

- Analytical skills and the ability to solve problems
- Good organisational skills and ability to keep focus on quality
- Ability to quickly learn about new technology and keep pace with an ever-changing industry
- Ability to assemble and disassemble computer equipment, mechanically inclined
- Demonstrate a desire to obtain certifications and learn new technology.
- Basic warehousing experience would be an advantage
- This is a temporary contract position at CDW. As such, the contractor who fills this role will be employed by a staffing partner and not a coworker of CDW. All interviews will be conducted by the CDW assignment manager. When a finalist has been selected, the staffing partner will provide assignment details including duration, benefits options and onboarding details.
