Blueteq Ltd offers IT and Network support to a variety of clients including GP Practices and private companies as well as the development of bespoke clinical software for the NHS and private healthcare providers.
We were established in January 2005 and have grown steadily ever since.
Presently we are offering a permanent, full-time position for a MSP IT Support Technician (1st/2nd Line Support).
The successful candidate will possess a wide range of technical knowledge so as to meet the criteria set out in the job description. This will include an in depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7-11, Microsoft Office suite 2010-19, Windows Server 2008-2019 and Microsoft Exchange 2008-2019. The selected applicant will also possess strong communication and organisational skills alongside a positive work ethic.
This role will be particularly suitable to qualified technicians but we also welcome applications from newly qualified graduates with a keen desire to learn.
MSP IT Support Technician (1st / 2nd Line Support)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Times: To be confirmed
Salary: £23,000.00 - £25,000.00 per annum (depending on experience)
Terms: Permanent (subject to a 3 month probation period)
Reporting To: Line Manager
Travel: 45p per mile using private car
Location: Unit A5, Endeavour Business Park, Penner Road, Havant, PO9 1QN
Annual Leave: 20 days excluding public holidays
(Plus 1 additional day for each full year of service)
Duties
- Blueteq Assist - o Front Line Support - Dealing with requests via the ticket system & telephone support line o Installation, support & maintenance of Client’s Networks, PC’s & Servers o Assisting with the maintenance of the Blueteq Server Farm o Ticket Management o Assisting with quotations and stock management o Systems analysis & problem solving
o Visiting clients as requiredo Documentation - Provide concise verbal and written reports, when requested, about any aspect of your duties and responsibilitiesSkills Required
- Essential skills - o Windows Server 2008-2019, Microsoft Exchange 2008-2019, Microsoft
SQL Server 2008-2019 o In Depth Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7-11 Operating Systems and supporting technical issues. o Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite 2010-2019 + Microsoft 365 o Microsoft 365 Basic Administration knowledge, setting up users, Apply
Licences, Change Passwords
o Good Understanding of LAN & WAN Networking including routers, switches, firewalls & VPNs
- Other desirable skills - o Web design o Experience of GP Clinical Systems o Troubleshooting problems o Own transport with a clean driving licence
- Communication – this is key for us: o The ability to speak and write clearly o Treat our client as you would like to be treated o Communicating clearly steps taken to support a client, suspected resolutions and expected time frames for managing handover of tasks and escalation of problems to other members of a team
