Role Proposition:
Are you a technical wizard and enjoy troubleshooting problems? We are looking to recruit an IT Support Technician, Tier 2, for the upcoming winter. Do you enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing? Working in a stunning mountain resort, the successful candidate will be responsible for daily duties that include responding to internal requests for technical support, organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work using issue tracking systems, Onboarding/Offboarding user administration, asset management and documentation, and Hardware staging, installation, troubleshooting and repair. Physical Requirement:
Light, work activities involve handling loads of 5 kg but less than 10 kg; Predominately in an indoor setting.
Accountabilities:
- Organize, prioritize, and schedule workload using in-house help desk systems
- Hardware/software installations
- Installation of various network, A/V, and surveillance components
- Installation and support of POS and payment systems
- Asset management and documentation
- Assist with administration of server systems
- Lifting of equipment required at times (printers, furniture, servers, etc.)
- Train new hires on the proper use of hardware and software
- Assist in tracking hardware and software licensing
- Adhere to Dept. procedures. Uphold, improve, and revise these procedures where required.
- Other special projects as assigned by the Supervising Administrator or Director of IT to improve the administration of IT infrastructure
- Operate according to the code of conduct and values statement of Sun Peaks Resort LLP
- Attend all SPRLLP-sponsored scheduled orientation & training programs
- Other duties as required to ensure successful operation of the department, including support of other departments and special promotions
Ideal Candidate:
- Completion of accredited IT program
- Proven discretion and confidentiality of personal information and administration
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
