University of Hawai‘i, Kapi‘olani Community College, Culinary Arts Department is seeking applications for the Administrative Support Specialist (Casual Hire). Important note: Applicants seeking short-term or part-time work with the University of Hawai'i may apply for Casual Hire positions, which include administrative, professional, and technical (APT) or instructional-type positions. Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular BOR and Civil Service employees (i.e. paid holidays/leave). Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees, and up to 1 calendar year for part-time employees.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Procuring, distributing, tracking ingredients and supplies to academic programs;
- Provide inventory documentation and reconciliation to the campus business office;
- Reconciling orders to meet minimums;
- Provide product alerts and identify alternatives;
- Track and minimize damages and spoilage;
- Create allocation reports for supervisors;
- Provide general storeroom technical support to faculty.
- Bachelor’s Degree;
- Knowledge and use of inventory management system
- Product/ingredient knowledge;
- Availability to work both day and evening shifts.
- Familiarity with the University of Hawaii fiscal policies and procedures.
- Familiarity of local vendors and product offerings.
- Use of ADACO inventory management system.
