Major Responsibilities
- Maintains a service-oriented mindset and high standards of customer support.
- Ensures support is provided to global internal personnel in a professional, courteous and timely manner.
- Troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software and networking issues.
- Conducts installations, configurations, upgrade tasks and basic repairs.
- Creates, maintains and deletes user accounts (Windows, MAC, VPN, Voicemail, etc.).
- Responds to and resolves issues relating to Personal Computers, Servers, Local and Wide Area Networking, telecommunications, hardware and all related operating systems and desktop software.
- Researches and documents new technologies to support ongoing projects.
- Implements and supports systems using the knowledge and understanding of the Company’s corporate security policies and procedures.
- Maintains appropriate logs of equipment, users and operational activities.
- Ensures personnel utilize technology to provide them with a fast, accurate and secure method to access information, in order that global members can be serviced in a highly efficient and effective manner.
- Acquires and maintains current technical knowledge by attending appropriate classes and seminars, and reviewing technical bulletins and periodicals.
- Communicates official department Information Technology plans, policies and procedures to staff, vendors, and internal customers -
- Gains and maintains a good understanding of how the IT team integrates with others to achieve objectives.
- Sets up and moves all computer equipment, servers and networks to comply with management’s plans to remodel and /or reconfigure work stations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, Skills
Education:
- High School Diploma required.
- One or more of the following industry certifications, or an equivalent combination of education & experience: CompTIA A+ or Network+, Microsoft MCSA or MCSE, ITIL Foundation
Experience/Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience providing Help Desk Support, with PC’s, Servers, Telecommunications Operating Systems, as well as Data Center environment required.
Desired Education, Experience, Skills
Education:
- Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Computer science, Business Administration, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred.
Travel:
- Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time; both domestic and international travel is required.
- Typical work-related travel assignments range 1-2 weeks and as such overnight, out-of-town and/or country stays are required.
Language: English
Internal Relationships:
- Associates from all departments and levels of the company, internal and remote
External Relationships:
- Liaison with 3rd party Vendors and other support organizations typically utilized in the IT industry
