The IT Support Specialist will troubleshoot computer/software problems and research causes/solutions under the guidance and direction of the IT Manager. The Specialist should work well with others and the environment with a solid work ethic to complete all tasks while complying with internal and external requirements in order to help achieve department goals.

Responsibilities:

• Assists the IT Manager with the installation of workstations, networking equipment, and server solutions
• Computer repairs, including hardware replacement, operating system reinstalls, virus/malware removal and other computer tasks as needed
• Verify functionality of hardware and software components
• Provides employees with basic help-desk support and troubleshooting via phone, email, in-person, remote support software and the online support ticket system
• Maintains the neatness and organization of stored supplies and workbench area
• Assist with special projects

Requirements:

• Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 1-2 years related work experience preferred
• Passion for IT and providing helpdesk support
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations
• Understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience
• Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality required
• Ability to independently multi-task and manage time efficiently
• Exhibits excellent customer service skills and professionalism
• Exhibits excellent problem-solving skills
• Have working knowledge of Microsoft Windows / Office, iOS / Android devices
• Superior communication skills, both verbal and written
• Regularly required to: talk, hear, type, stand or sit for long periods of time. The employee may be required to push, pull or lift 35 lbs or more
• May be required to travel in and out of state overnight
• Required to work Core Business Hours 8-5 PM and occasionally outside of core hours on special projects
