A new role has arisen for an experienced IT Support Specialist to join a leading manufacturing business based in Telford, Shropshire. The full-time role comes with an attractive salary.
As an IT Support Specialist, you will be working within a busy manufacturing business and be responsible for providing 1st line user support for the IT systems, as well as hardware, software and system installation, migration, and decommissioning. You will also be assisting the IT Systems Analyst with related tasks to provide system support.
As an experienced 1st Line IT Support Specialist, you will be required to:
- Provide support to 150 employees throughout the business offering software/hardware, desktop, and domain server administration assistance via email, phone, and in person
- To maintain a log of all IT support issues to enable detailed management reporting
- Work with internal staff or external partners on any IT issues under the direction of the IT Systems Administrator or IT Manager
- Liaise with Group IT and vendors to progress requests made to external business partners
To apply for this IT Support Specialist role, you will need GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in Maths, English and ICT. You will also require the following:
- A minimum of 3 years 1st line support experience
- A valid passport
- Confidence when working under pressure, highly organised and able to prioritise tasks
- Previous experience within the manufacturing industry (Desirable)
- ERP system experience, preferably with SAP (Desirable)
