POSITION SUMMARY
GeekBox IT is seeking a full-time IT Support Specialist Tier I to join our team in Greensboro, NC. We offer a vibrant tech environment and all of the tools needed to succeed. JOB DUTIES
- Provide first-line technical support to clients via phone, email, and in-person, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly and efficiently.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to computer systems, software, and network connectivity.
- Escalate complex technical problems to Tier II support or appropriate IT personnel.
- Document and track all customer interactions and problem resolutions in our ticketing system.
- Assist with setting up, configuring, and maintaining computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Install and update software applications and perform routine software and hardware maintenance tasks.
- Educate end-users on basic software and hardware functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and improve the overall customer support experience.
- Rotating On-Call schedule divided among all staff with bonus pay.
- Maintain current knowledge of GeekBox IT products and services.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's/Bachelor's degree in information technology preferred.
- At least two years of experience in network support or IT support is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root cause of network issues and resolve them quickly.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and perform tasks under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
