SUMMARY
The IT Support Specialist 3 works directly with end users, management and infrastructure engineers to provide high quality customer service to help resolve laptop, desktop, mobile and accessory related issues. This includes in person and remote support for specialized software, operating systems and advanced troubleshooting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for IT/OT hardware and software used in a compounding pharmacy and commercial fulfillment center escalating and prioritizing as appropriate
- Follow stringent rules on PPE and regulations for working within a controlled environment
- Troubleshoot problems for hardware and software resources used by our employees, escalating and prioritizing as appropriate. Items will include VoIP softphones, VPN tunneling, SaaS applications and general networking
- Perform desktop and laptop system deployments and administration including hardware and software configuration in support of the business needs which may include support for telephony, VPN, CRM, Microsoft products, Okta and other specialized applications
- Rapid response to local leadership and business needs for critical incidents and urgent requests
- Provide network, wireless, and internet access support for end users in business operations
- Collaboration technology support such as Office 365 (Email, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), Zoom, and conference spaces
- Responds to incident and request tickets promptly and with an appropriate sense of urgency based on severity
- Responsible for accurate tracking of all incoming and outgoing requests
- Provision and remove user account access and permissions from basic systems
- Follows and documents procedures to ensure consistent delivery and quality service
- Ensure provisioned hardware, software, and license assets are properly managed, maintained, and tracked for reporting and compliance needs
- Provide support for corporate initiatives including opening of new facilities, retrofitting existing spaces, and other enterprise business needs
- Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment
- Other duties may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science and/or related years of experience
- Minimum of 5 years of end user support and systems administration
COMPETENCIES (SKILLS AND ABILITIES)
- Experience with warehouse technologies and operations
- Experience with VoIP technologies such as Avaya, Mitel or Genesys
- Experience with VPN technologies such as Palo Alto Global Protect and Cisco AnyConnect
- Excellent computer hardware and software troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Advanced knowledge of computer hardware, printers, mobile devices and network services
- Advanced knowledge of SharePoint administration
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Advanced knowledge of using ticketing system such as ServiceNow
- Advanced knowledge of using CMDB
- Advanced knowledge of scripting such as PowerShell
- Experience with end point security tools such as Crowdstrike, Tanium
- Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to service excellence and client satisfaction
- Ability to multitask and set priorities and juggle numerous tasks and priorities while maintaining productive flow of work
- Produces consistently accurate work with attention to detail even when under pressure
- Demonstrates good follow through on information and project status
- Picks up on technical issues quickly and can gain new skills to apply to the job
- Keeps up to date on technology related to job function
- Communicates clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles
