About CASA
CASA Mental Health is an established non-profit organization delivering holistic, culturally-safe wrap-around mental health services to Albertans and their families. CASA provides mental health service to the missing middle – mental health treatment for diagnosed children and youth, in between prevention and promotion in primary and community care, and acute treatment in hospital.
CASA’s team of mental health professionals are trauma experts committed to delivering service in collaboration with community partners. This includes assessment and treatment for up to 4,000 children, youth and their families each year, from community outreach settings to intensive treatment programs.
About the Role
The IT Support Specialist is a new position for our growing IT team. They will specialize in technical assistance and end-user support across the organization including consultation, installation, troubleshooting, user assistance and training. The IT Support Specialist has the opportunity to be the primary point of contact for all customer service requests and ensure that the organization is being supported in from a software and hardware perspective. The IT Support Specialist will:
- Respond to incoming requests from users experiencing technical problems with workstation hardware, software and connectivity via ticketing system, phone or in-person.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues to user-reported incidents.
- Maintain helpdesk records of technical issues, solutions and recommendations.
- Install, configure, maintain and monitor end-user workstation hardware and software.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to develop and improve helpdesk work flows and processes, including the creation of supporting documentation.
- Administer end-user accounts.
- Ensure timely distribution of required technology to new and existing staff in a timely manner.
- Maintain proper documentation of computer assets and corresponding users.
- Develop and provide effective end-user orientation and training on the organizations technology environment.
- Deliver IT orientation to new hires on a bi-weekly basis.

Maximum hourly rate: $35.96
Hours per shift: 7.25
Shifts per week: Five
Days off: Saturday and Sunday
Qualifications
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service.
- Ability to build relationships and rapport with staff.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality end-user orientation and training.
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated and self-directed.
- Thorough understanding of active directory, M365, MS Office, Azure, Intune, Windows 10/11 and remote-desktop access.
- Sound knowledge of computer hardware, software and connectivity.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
- CompTIA A+ certification is an asset.
- Diploma in information technology systems is required.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Three of more years of experience in a help-desk role supporting end-users across multiple locations.
- Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
