Have you enjoyed your Get into Health & Social Care programme? Would you now like to join our team as a Support Practitioner? We have opportunities to join our team in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire on a permanent and relief basis.
The Role
Your main aim will be providing support with all aspects of daily life to individuals with disabilities and/or additional support needs in one of our Housing Support teams in Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire.
As well as supporting the individuals with aspects of their daily living, you’ll also support them with their hobbies and interests too, including arts & crafts, going for walks, swimming, day trips, the cinema and getting out and about in their local community.
About You
At Cornerstone, we don't recruit on experience and qualifications; we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team! We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification too!
All we’ll need you to bring is: -
- A caring and compassionate attitude and approach
- The ability to work well in a team
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Confidence in the use of computers
Shift Patterns
As we're dedicated to providing the best support, tailored to the needs of each individual the shifts can involve early mornings, days, evenings, sleepovers and/or waking nights and weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.
Waking night shifts are paid at your normal hourly rate, plus an additional payment of £20 per night. Sleepovers aren't included in your contracted hours, you will receive an additional payment of £84 for each sleepover shift worked.
