Requirements:
We are looking for caring, supportive, adaptable, approachable, empathetic, fun and positive individuals across several services in Tayport and Newport-on-Tay. We have a full time and part time post available. Earliest start time is usually 8am and latest finish 8.30pm. These posts cover multiple home visits whilst on shift. Every individual is different and therefore needs and support required to be completed at each visit will vary. This vacancy is for day shifts only. Due to the nature of our services in this area, we can only accept applications from female candidates who have a valid full driving license and access to their own vehicle.
For all posts the induction training takes place in our new Kirkcaldy office.
No previous experience in care is required as we provide full in-house training to all new staff members and will even invest in you to achieve your SVQ Level 2, so even if this is a new career path for you, we would love to meet you. What matters most is that you have the right values and the right attitude.
About the Role:
Your responsibilities as a Support Practitioner could include:
- Social Support- Assisting individuals to engage with their communities by planning and attending outings to various leisure activities such as day centres, cinema, swimming etc.
- Medical Support- Administering and monitoring medication.
- Personal Care- Assisting people to maintain their wellbeing by promoting their personal care which would include assistance with bathing, dressing, arranging visits with the dentist/doctor, incontinence care.
- Practical Support- Helping people to maintain their tenancy by encouraging daily household tasks such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, shopping.

All successful Support Practitioner applicants will be given a conditional offer- this is subject to the receipt of satisfactory references, PVG and a Covid-19 related risk assessment.
All new staff members will be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of their start date.
