What will the role involve?
Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your career in research support? Are you interested in making research as openly accessible as possible? Do you have experience of developing others that will help you get the best out of your team?
We want you to join us to drive the Library’s research services, making sure our policies, tools, training and support meet researchers’ changing needs throughout the research lifecycle. You and your team will support the University’s Innovation Strategy and REF2028 preparations by always looking for ways to advance open access and research data management, and to contribute to a positive research environment.
We’re looking for someone who puts collaboration and engagement at the heart of what they do. You’ll build productive relationships with people across the University and externally. As a line manager and a member of management team, you will be able to bring people with you, and to create an inclusive culture where everyone feels valued and empowered to perform at their best.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to our Peel Park Campus for a formal interview, expected to take place week commencing 14 August 2023. You will also give a short presentation (topic to be provided a week in advance), followed by a team discussion which you will be asked to facilitate.
