We have partnered with the a global leading web trading software company that provides platforms to some on the largest banks in the world. They are looking to grow their Client Services team due to progression and increased demand and are seeking a Junior Java Software Support Engineer.

They’re looking for an enthusiastic support professional with knowledge/experience in providing technical software support to web trading technology and single-dealer platforms. In this role you will perform in depth technical trouble shooting and diagnostics to understand the issues and to provide solutions.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Experience in conducting analysis and effectively presenting findings verbally and in writing
• Experience in collaborating closely with developers to address support issues
• Skilled in coordinating internal escalation and root cause analysis (RCA) meetings.
• Experience in reviewing product code
• Experience in replicating customer issues by working with parts of their code.
• Skilled in efficiently managing support issues from start to resolution in alignment with customer service level agreements (SLAs).
• Knowledge/experience in providing technical support for trading software systems/applications.
• Experience in working in a client facing environment

Key Requirements:

• Active experience of coding with Java
• A degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering
• Knowledge/understanding and of complex trading systems
• Practical familiarity with Linux and command line operations.
• Understanding of the technical architecture and components of web-based enterprise systems, such as databases, application servers, web servers, firewalls, proxies, and browsers.

Tech Stack: Java

Salary: up to £45k with out of hours re-numeration, additional 6% salary pension contributions

Location: London – 1 days every 2 weeks in the office (more to begin with)

This role does require you to be on a on call rota.
