Graduate Software Support Engineer
A brilliant opportunity for a talented STEM Graduate to work as a Software Support Engineer joining a fast-growing software house in London. Offering excellent training and career progression, this unique opportunity, distinguishes itself from traditional support roles, offering direct access to the code base, empowering you to proactively solve challenges rather than passing over to R&D teams. This role is a fantastic mix of coding, complex problem solving and speaking to clients so would suit bright, confident engineers who love problem-solving.
Location: Central London – hybrid, approx 2 days a week in office.
Salary: Circa £45,000 for a Graduate + healthcare, pension etc.
Requirements for Graduate Software Support Engineer
- A minimum of a 2.1 bachelors from an internationally renowned University in a STEM related discipline
- At least AAB at A-Level or equivalent UCAS points (please ensure A-Level grades are included on your CV).
- Programming knowledge, ideally in Python
- Excellent customer-facing skills
- A motivated self-starter with a problem-solving attitude
- Strong aptitude for picking up technologies
- Ability to work with autonomy and as part of a team
- Great communication skills with fluent spoken and written English
Responsibilities for Graduate Software Support Engineer
- Initially, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of the product suite
- Lead the resolution of support issues - solving these where possible on your own
- Partner with customers and the pre-sales teams from the implementation stage to full understand the customer architecture to offer an outstanding support service if issues arise.
- Analyze logs and employ advanced tools to replicate and troubleshoot intricate functional and integration issues
- Collaborate closely with development and testing teams to showcase issue reproduction techniques and validate code modifications.
- Deliver expert guidance on products to sales and support teams, empowering them to provide accurate information to customers.
- Maintain transparent communication with customers, offering regular updates on support case statuses and progress.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of operational processes.
- Support the technical documentation team by providing valuable content for product and support materials.
- Occasionally conduct on-site visits to customer locations
