Production Support Engineer
Our client, a reputable and innovative company in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a talented Production Support Engineer to join their Operations team. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, the Production Support Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring efficient configuration management of products, conducting thorough production system testing, and overseeing the smooth delivery of systems to the Operations team.
Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for the configuration management of products, ensuring all components are assembled and configured accurately in accordance with Company engineering drawings.
- Engage in all stages of production and delivery, including order acceptance, goods-in, production build, system testing, and final delivery.
- Precisely assemble product components, starting from the component level and progressing through sub-assembly to the production of finished units.
- Interpret and follow wiring schedules, utilising appropriate meters when necessary to verify the quality and accuracy of assembled work.
- Conduct well-defined electrical/electronic and tank test procedures and routines throughout the entire production process, from component level to PCB and chassis assembly stages, up to the final assembly of finished units.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in production support or a similar role within the manufacturing industry is desirable.
- Knowledge of configuration management practices and experience in product assembly will be advantageous.
- Proficiency in reading and comprehending engineering drawings and wiring schedules.
- Familiarity with electrical and electronic test procedures, along with the ability to use relevant tools and equipment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on maintaining high-quality standards in production.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
