We are seeking a Support Assistant to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Lyndon Lodge has seven en-suite bedrooms in a shared house. We provide support for adults aged 18 and over, who have a mental health need. Residents are supported to manage their mental health, and to develop the skills and confidence to move on and live independently.
We value our team and encourage learning and progression through our comprehensive induction programme, as well as on-going training to develop new and existing skills and encourage progression. Sanctuary has their own Learning and Development Academy, who provide a wide range of training courses, open to all.

The role of Support Assistant will include:
- Providing a high quality, hands-on support service
- Supporting clients to build the confidence they need to gain further independence
- Encouraging clients to develop their daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and being part of their community
- Working with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our clients
- Maintaining a safe environment for clients, providing support in accordance with relevant regulations, procedures and practices
Skills and experiences:
- Ideally, you will have experience of working with vulnerable people in the mental health sector, however candidates with enthusiasm, a real passion for the role and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply, as we are committed to delivering a tailored training programme
- Initiative and assertiveness will also be key to your success, as you will be required to source innovative solutions to problems that allow independence to be maximised
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational, listening and time management skills, allowing you to form positive relationships with people
