Job description
SEN Supply TA
- Stonehouse
- Small School
- Full time
- Key stage 2/3/4
I am working with an excellent special school in Stonehouse, which holds up to 140 students at one time; the needs of the school are learning difficulties and behavioural management. Some students may have physical disabilities, this may involve some personal care.
The headteacher is looking for a friendly individual that can listen to instructions, be flexible to work as a team, and be a strong member of the team to work alone. Communication is key, there will be opportunities to give feedback to teachers and senior members of staff, this is vital to share students' development within their learning and personal growth. Encouraging independence and aiding them with their learning to ensure they can achieve their own personal goals in addition to educational goals.
From a hydrotherapy room, to an indoor soft play room and multiple outdoor play areas, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an incredible team; whose priority is to ensure the importance of the students' learning and happiness. The curriculum is designed for the students, this would cater to their own individual needs.
Your role will be offering classroom support to the teachers and ensuring students feel encouraged to learn and achieve.
The hours of work will be 8:30am - 3:30pm, working within term time, full time, 5 days a week. This is a supply position, where you can be on standby to cover staff absence, which means you can work flexibly. There would be an opportunity to develop into a permanent position in the school if you can demonstrate to be an excellent addition to the team.
