Job description
Supply Chain & Operations Graduate Programme
Salary £28,000
Location: Nationwide
Feed your ambition. Deliver your future.
Our Graduate Programme isn’t one size fits all. Just like our delicious food, our scheme is carefully prepared to help you learn more, experience more and succeed more. We see our graduates as future leaders of our business. We don’t take on many people each year - we’re very selective. That means more time, energy and investment for you. Our Supply Chain & Operations scheme is the ideal way to gain an in-depth, hands-on understanding of our £2bn business, build relationships with senior leaders, take on real responsibility, and make an impact on how our business works.
What the scheme offers
Our two-year scheme starts with a detailed induction, where you’ll be introduced to senior managers across our business. You’ll then gain vital hands-on experience in a depot on day and night shifts, as you develop your understanding of our warehouse and distribution operations. In your second year, you’ll complete placements in line with your areas of interest - this could include Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain Planning, Motor Transport, Product Supply and Continuous Improvement. Once you come to the end of the scheme, we’ll work with you to identify a permanent role that matches your strengths and interests
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for people with a 2.2 (actual or predicted) in any subject. As you’ll be based at a number of different locations, you’ll need a full UK driving license, with the ability to work from anywhere in the UK. This is a fast-paced scheme, so you’ll need to be driven, energetic and enthusiastic, with great people and time management skills, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and problem solve. You should be comfortable with change and brimming with ideas about how we can improve our business. You’ll also need the right to work in the UK - we can’t sponsor work permits.
The support to succeed
Our scheme is challenging and gives you hands-on responsibility very quickly. To help you succeed, we make sure everyone has access to the support they need, including mentoring and coaching, a dedicated buddy and a support from senior managers throughout the programme. You’ll get help to build your development plan and access to learning in areas that benefit you and your career.
