Are you excited by aircraft ? We are too. Come and join us as a Supply Chain Manager at Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), working within the Typhoon Supply Chain Delivery Management (SCDM) Team.
SCDM sits within the In-Service Support element of the Typhoon Delivery Team and is part of the Typhoon Total Availability eNterprise (TyTAN). It is a partnering agreement with BAE Systems under the TyTAN support contract to ensure that Typhoon outputs are in line with the Royal Air Force (RAF) requirements.
You will establish the role as a SCDM focal point for return to works, modification, and embodiment programmes, for warranty claims, and for developing and leading SCDM output in support of the Typhoon disposals and deactivation workstreams.
You will manage relationships and work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders to deliver effective supply chain activities, advice, and support across the Typhoon programme. You will be a self-starter with an initiative-taking approach to your work. There are managerial responsibilities for a staff member planned for later in the year,
This role is based in our offices in RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire, and in-office attendance will be expected as required.

Responsibilities
- Developing the role within your area of responsibility, implementing appropriate governance and adherence to reporting processes.
- Planning supply chain aspects of return to work, embodiment and modification programmes and monitor progress and delivery of the programmes, interpreting data to identify trends, risks, issues, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Representing Supply Chain at associated meetings and working groups.
- Leading SCDM planning and coordination regarding Typhoon disposal and deactivation activity, ensuring that the Inventory aspect of the Platform, Capability or Main Equipment Disposal plan is updated and managing the Typhoon Disposal Strategy.
- Representing SCDM at the Typhoon Drawdown Working Group and other associated meetings.
- Collaborating with Stakeholders to improve Supply Chain performance and identify efficiencies and best value for money.
- Supporting and representing the Head SCDM when required.
- Performing Line Management responsibilities, once staff member joins.
Person specification
To be successful with your application, you'll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:
- Experience of working within a Supply Chain environment, delivering effective Supply Chain management within, or in support of, a complex programme.
- Evidence of stakeholder and relationship management, both internal and external, and at all levels.
- Proven line management skills.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, excel and Teams).
It would also be great if you can demonstrate any of the following desirable criteria:
- Knowledge of Operational Fast Jet support.
- Ability to interpret and use management information and data.
