Centrica Storage Limited (CSL), have some exciting new positions for Offshore Operations Supervisor's to join the team.
This role is to support the expansion of operations at the offshore Rough 47/3B site. This allows flexibility to reinstate meaningful 24h activity, support facilitation of work, and add resilience to the offshore management team.

This is an influential offshore leadership role, forming part of the Offshore Leadership Team.
- Fulfil Emergency response management duties as part of the offshore Incident Command Team.
- To manage the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of high-pressure gas processing plant and equipment by a multi-disciplined team in line with commercial nominations.
- Assure the safe administration of the Permit to Work system
- Interface with operations, maintenance, project teams and vendors to safely facilitate and prioritise workflow activity in line with agreed schedules.
- Manage the development, and competency of team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Diligently assures daily commercial nominations are optimised to achieve customer requirements.
- Utilise organisational skills to manage the operations team, ensuring all work is completed safely, and efficiently.
- Uses diligence and clarity to ensure compliance with discipline specific legislation and standards.
- Develops relationships and uses their own specialist knowledge to leverage technical input into operational risk management and change management.
- Uses experience and seeks best practice to lead improvement initiatives and management of change.
- Participates in root cause analysis processes to logically resolve safety & reliability issues, identifying improvements.
- Uses influencing skills to lead, manage, and motivate the operations team of technicians, maintaining their competencies and personal development.
- Ensure shift handovers and other team meetings are effective by providing structure, facilitation, and arbitration for the operations team.
- Maintain and verify accurate records of installation activities to satisfy internal business processes and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide specialist operations input to planning, project development, and performance optimisation.
- Administer the Permit to Work System on behalf of the Offshore Installation Manager as well as undertaking the responsibilities as an Issuing Authority, in conjunction with the Permit Co-ordinator.
- Design and coordinate the safe isolation and handover of equipment for maintenance, and subsequent reinstatement
- Maintain an overview of safety critical system performance, escalating emergent issues for resolution or consideration for risk assessment.
- Conduct technical audits and investigations to enable reports and recommendations to be produced.
Work Experience & Functional/Technical Skills
- 5 years’ experience in a comparable leadership / supervision role.
- Experienced People Manager
- Specialist operations or engineering knowledge of offshore gas production facilities, or comparable process, industrial, or marine equipment.
- Proficient knowledge of a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) in relation to work planning, and materials management (CSL use SAP).
- Excellent analytical skills
- Proficient with the MS office suite of applications
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload in the face of competing demands
Education and Certifications
- Minimum of ONC/HNC in an Engineering discipline; or demonstrable competence through equivalent industrial experience.
- BOSIET offshore survival trained
- Offshore medical fitness certificate

- Incident Management Team member – controlling offshore emergencies
Flexible Working
- Provides absence cover for back-to-back job share peer group as part of the offshore 2 week on 3 week off rotation.
- Changes in shift rotation
- Delays to mobilisation to and demobilisation from the offshore installation
- Office work during field break to support major set piece activities and improvement initiatives
