Sunderland Online Coordinator (Student Administration)
Teaching & Learning - Digital Education
Right from its inception, the University of Sunderland has been committed to producing graduates who positively shape society, while reducing the persistent economic and social inequalities facing communities. In the digital age, we do this not only at our University campuses, but also through our growing body of Online students.
Our Sunderland Online provision is extensive and growing, encompassing three Faculties and including 16 postgraduate and one undergraduate programme. To support this, we are creating an Online Unit to provide administrative support for the rapid growth of our online learning provision and to further Sunderland's position at the forefront of online education.
This is an exciting point in our journey, and we are seeking a Sunderland Online Coordinator (Student Administration) who will manage the day-to-day student administration for the Sunderland Online provision. You will be part of the Online Unit - which will provide wraparound administrative support from application to graduation - and will link in closely with colleagues from central Services within the University. The programme administration function are responsible for managing the student record and you will supervise a team of Sunderland Online Assistants (Student Administration) and ensure that the function runs smoothly, delivering an excellent experience to students and staff. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the way in which the Online Unit operates, and be part of a team dedicated to student experience, customer service, value for money and continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated, enthusiastic and passionate team player, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. You will need to have an exceptional attention to detail, as well as the ability to prioritise work appropriately for both yourself and your team. You will also have experience of working with different IT systems within a busy administrative environment.
