The role
Activity Leaders are the heart of our summer schools. They bring the fun and social element to our courses. Maybe you are sports mad, love arts and crafts, can make a game out of nothing or just someone who loves to chat to anyone and everyone. Whatever your talent we want to hear from you!
Running a variety of activities you will engage with our students, who can all speak basic English as a minimum, and get them to mix with different nationalities and practice their English.
You will make lots of new friends and although there may be some long days, you will gain lots of new skills which will look great on your CV. Skills such as leadership, collaboration, problem solving, resilience, organisation, cross-cultural communication to name just a few, all competencies which future employers are looking for.
Elac Study Vacations
Elac Study Vacations is an English Language School and has run courses for international students aged 7-17 for 32 years. Each year we welcome over 4000 students from all over the world. Our summer schools are run in prestigious colleges or universities which all have great facilities. We have 7 centres based in Bath, Cirencester, Eastbourne, Haywards Heath, Horsham and Nottingham.
When do our summer courses run?
Bath Spa University, Bath 2ndJuly to 13th August 2023
Nottingham University, Nottingham 2nd July to 30th July 2023
Ardingly College, Hayward’s Heath 3rd July to 14th August 2023
Eastbourne College, Eastbourne 4th July to 15th August 2023
Christ’s Hospital School, Horsham 5th July to 16th August 2023
Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester 5th July to 16th August 2023
Prior Park, Bath 10th July to 7th August 2023
Contract lengths are usually 4 weeks but there may be an opportunity to extend your contract by a further 2 weeks in certain centres. If you can’t commit to 4 weeks, then still get in touch as we may be able to work around your availability. If you can only work sporadically, ask us about our session only contracts where you will work with us on a more ad hoc basis.
The process
After you apply, we will take a look at your CV and invite you to a chat, via Teams, so we can find out a little more about you. We will also explain the role in more detail as well as answer any questions you may have. We will let you know quickly if you have been successful, so you won’t be left waiting. As you will be working with under 18’s, all staff will be required to go through a DBS check which will be paid for by Elac Study Vacations.

Salary: £350.00-£440.00 per week
