We're looking for Sub Agents to join our Regional Civils team and assist us with the delivery of our Bridgwater Tidal Barrier project in Somerset. Location: Somerset. : Salary: Competitive + Responsibilities Kier Regional Civil Engineering is looking to recruit a Sub Agent to report to the Site Agent working on the Collaborative Delivery Framework with the Environment Agency. The successful post-holder will be required to work in conjunction with the Site Team to ensure construction is carried out accurately; that quality is maintained; records are kept; abortive or defective work is avoided and that satisfactory progress is achieved. This will be a site based role with reporting office of Exeter. Your day to day role will include: Assists with the construction strategy; this includes kick-off meetings, pre-commencement documentation such as Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans, Construction programmes, procurement and design deliverable schedules. Liaise with the Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant, materials and works to carry out the activities to the required standards, programme and budget. Manage the site engineering team and be responsible for the performance and development of site and Section Engineers. Responsible for identifying and resolving problems arising from technical site issues in liaison with the Agent. Ensuring that the site team have the documentation, information and resources required to carry out their duties. What are we looking for? HNC, degree qualified. Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.
