At Dunelm, we love homes and are as obsessed with the products that go in them. We're on the search for a Part-Time (3 days a week) Stylist who will be imperative to us delivering this to our customer's.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be proficient at styling all product categories easily and effortlessly. You will be using your experience gained from working on shoots of all sizes. You will confidently deliver best in class shoots from a simple cameo to a big production lifestyle shoot. You will think commercially as well as creatively with a proven ability to deliver to brief within deadline and always considering the Dunelm customer.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with brief owners / the creative team to ensure all the final images are of a high standard.
  • Ensure that products are styled in a consistent, accurate and engaging way that follows the tone of voice set by the Styling Manager.
  • Create mood boards, story boards, scamps and set build design for your shoots.
  • You will work closely with the sample co-ordinatorsto source all props for your shoots / suggesting alternatives if your first choice samples are not available.
  • You will ensure that you meet shoot targets, product is shot in a logical and priority order – feeding back any concerns to the Pre-Production & Sample Manager and the Studio Manager.
  • Ensure that product is styled using suitable styling product to maximise upsell opportunities.
  • You will constantly evaluate competitor product shoots – identifying and sharing any opportunities for improvement.
  • You will work closely with freelance stylists to ensure they are following the style guidelines and feedback where necessary.
  • You will support junior stylists with training on brand guidelines and styling techniques.
  • Build strong relationships with the buying and design teams
  • Work efficiently and confidently across multiple projects often to tight deadlines.
  • Keep up to date with new and upcoming interiors and colour trends
  • Full knowledge of how to style to our in-house guidelines
  • Some travel may be required to shoot locations inside and outside the UK
  • Attend meetings about upcoming projects and lead wash up meetings when required.

What we’re looking for:

Previous experience as an interiors stylist in a retail brand, editorial magazine or similar.

An ability to demonstrate an understanding of the retail trading landscape and e-commerce websites is desirable. It is essential that you are commercially minded.

  • Proficient in styling all product categories
  • Experience of styling interiors shoots including models, still life, lifestyle for both stills and video content
  • Broad knowledge of interiors and the industry with a passion for the Dunelm brand
  • A thorough understanding of the Dunelm customer and various customer profiles.
  • Proven ability to create inspiring shoots, whilst hitting daily targets and within deadline
  • Outstanding communications skills
  • Ability to put together story boards / mood boards
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Highly organised, pro-active and confident under pressure to deliver assets for mult-channel activity to short timescales
  • Proven ability to work across multiple projects at the same time
  • Proven record of learning retrospectively and using past projects to help inform better results in the future
  • Flexible, problem solver.
