What We Are Looking For...
We currently have a fantastic entry level opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our Web Team as a Studio Assistant (Styling). You will assist our Stylists and Photographers in the studio to photograph River Island’s repertoire of products.
We are looking for a talented individual who would be interested in developing their knowledge of styling and of the High Street fashion industry.
Key priorities of the position include:
- Assist the Stylists and Photographers in producing website images of River Island products on model, cut out, accessories and creative sets
- Collect all clothing samples from co-ordinators
- Ensure all garments are steamed, prepped and de-tagged, ready for the Stylist to use
- Measure accessories for copy writers and log on spreadsheet
- Respond quickly to fluctuating business workloads
- Maintain an excellent working relationship with the Web team to ensure products are handed over on time and shot in a timely manner and in accordance with styling guidelines
- Respond promptly to emails and calls from the Web team
- Maintain and organise stills, studio and equipment
- Responsible for the timely return of products to the Web department
- Assisting with creative set building and painting to create inspiring imagery for the website
- Learn and develop your styling knowledge, working closely with Styling team to understand outfitting and styling techniques.
- Be competent using Excel spreadsheets and updating product shoot lists
Suitable candidates must demonstrate the following:
- Interest in Fashion and Styling
- Previous studio experience would be an advantage
- Creative with an eye for detail
- Ability to communicate clearly, accurately and confidently and build strong relationships both internally and externally
- Able to function effectively on own initiative as well as within a team
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks under pressure to meet creative deadlines
