We are inviting qualified nurses to be sponsored for the academic year commencing September 2023. We are sponsoring places at both Bucks New University. You will gain a Specialist Public Health Nursing Qualification in Health Visiting or School Nursing. You will be joining a leading organisation that is both forward thinking and innovative with a strong commitment to training.
As a student Health Visitor or School Nurse , you will be full of enthusiasm around giving every child/young person the best start in life, supporting mothers, children, young people and their families to ensure every child reaches school age ready to learn. You will be involved in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme.
The post holder will undertake the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) Programme, combining development of both theoretical knowledge and clinical practice.
To gain BSc (Hons)/Postgraduate Public Health academic qualification and standards of proficiency for SCPHNs in order to register with the Nursing and Midwifery council (NMC)
Whilst on clinical placement, to discharge all duties in line with organisational policy, relevant clinical guidelines, best practice advice, and the NMC Professional Code of Conduct.
We are inviting applications for sponsorship, leading to a PG Dip/BSc (Hons) and NMC recordable Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting or School Nursing) qualification.

Can you please write a 900 word personal statement exploring why you wish to be a SCPHN (School Nursing) and link this to the evidence base in relation to the leadership skills and personal attributes required to be a SCPHN.

When completing the personal statement, please ensure that you include the following criteria:
Evidence your passion and inspiration for the role of the SCPHN, referring to the Personal Specification for this role and include evidence of the criteria expected
The discussion should be linked to the theme requested
Demonstrate your ability to articulate at level 6 and reference using the Harvard referencing system (referencing key statements and literature) to indicate academic ability
900 word limit (plus or minus 10%) – please state word count
Could you please indicate if you have commenced the SCPHN course previously in another university.
