Here at YUSU (York University Students Union) we have an exciting job opportunity for someone to join our Student Voice team as the Student Researcher.
About the Role:
We’re looking for student researchers to work with us to deliver a series of research projects looking at the lived experiences of marginalised voices at the University of York.
As a Student Researcher, you will be paid to create and deliver a research project which looks at the lived experience of marginalised voices at the University of York. This research would ideally comprise credible and accurate data collection, as well as creative and evidence-based recommendations for change to improve the lives of the student community you are researching.
You will ideally either identify as a member of, or have strong connections with, the marginalised community that you are wanting to research but we will welcome research proposals from all students interested.
To apply you will need to submit a 500-word research proposal outlining the student community you would like to research, the aims of the research and objectives and how the research would benefit the student community and YUSU.
To find out more about the role please see the attached Job Description.
We’re an inclusive workplace, where everyone is welcome, everyone can be natural, and be the best versions of themselves. Whatever your background, religion, identity, relationship status if you're good at what you do and want to provide the best experience possible for, with and by our students then jump in with your whole self.
YUSU is committed to equality of opportunity - we are an organisation who works very hard to ensure we appoint based on merit. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with disabilities and/or from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.
As a Disability Confident Employer, we are proud to offer an interview to applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the advertised position.
